Small Business Marketing Tips: My Super Secret Ad-Writing Recipe
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I know I sure did! It was awesome to spend time with the family…and eat more food than I should have…
Especially those super-secret family recipes. You know what I’m talking about? The kind my wife would tell you…but then she’d have to kill you…
Well, I’m about to spill the beans on my super-secret ad-writing recipe. Less delicious, perhaps, but far more profitable, I assure you!
Here it is.
Start with a strong Unique Purchase Appeal.
Then make a comprehensive list of features. (Remember, features describe what you’re selling: i.e., a red car, V-6 Engine, convertible, 5-CD changer.)
For each feature, ask yourself: “Why does my customer care about this?” Then write a comprehensive list of beneifts.
Put together an offer sheet, complete with the most compelling pot sweeteners or bonus incentives you can think of.
Arrange and watch the sales come rolling in!
