The Economy May Suck…But Small Businesses Are Thriving

By Katie Langston · Monday, December 8th, 2008

NOW HOLD ON JUST A MINUTE!

It’s not time to press the panic button.  Not yet.

The economy is going downhill fast, right?  At least that’s all you hear everywhere you turn.  The Wall Street Journal reported 500,000 layoffs last month.

Facebook won’t buy employees’ stock.

Donald Trump thinks his own condos are too expensive.  (Is he gonna cut prices?  Ummmm…nah, not that bad yet.)

But you–the small business owner–you’re doing okay!  Small businesses have been ADDING new employees for 24 straight months.

That’s right.  You.  It looks gloomy, sounds gloomy, feels gloomy–but YOU are what makes the economy go.  Not the big banks or auto makers.  So if you haven’t yet, check out Jim’s report on how to market your crap when the economy is in the toilet…and keep up the good work!

Bill,

Glad you like the post! :) I think so many small business owners are panicking right now, when the fact is, we’re the ones who are holding everything together. So we need to keep our wits!

Success will always come to persistent, hard-working, innovative people.

Thanks for stopping by.
